Improve Your Practice – Learn More About Your Software!

AS/PC® Billing System

BASIC & ADVANCED WORKSHOPS

BASIC (First Day) AS/PC® WORKSHOP CLASS

The Basic (first day) session presumes knowledge of Windows® and use of the AS/PC® medical billing system.  All new features are briefly reviewed.   This class is for office managers and billing staff that have been using ASPC® for at least several months and is excellent for experienced office managers that want to learn more to improve payments, billing, and management of the practice from real experts.  File maintenance issues are discussed.  Billing entry, payments entry and claim generation is reviewed including claims processing and  end-of day, end-of- month procedures.   The class includes brief demonstrations of add-on software that will automatically post payments, help with scheduling and notes, and reduce filing costs.   Office Managers that have not attended formal training should attend this course.   Specific practice problem examples will be presented and dealt with as part of the class.   If presented in our Shelton Training Center, each practice attendee has a computer to use for exercises, so attendance is limited – sign up early!  AS/PC seminars presented in other cities, or in our auditorium are presented in a classroom format.

ADVANCED AS/PC® WORKSHOP

You must have attended the Basic Class to attend this workshop.  More advanced topics including queries, report generation, utilities and shortcut keys are introduced.  You will also learn about electronic claims submission, how to electronically identify and re-submit un-paid claims, how to clean up your system, the billing changes being implemented by CMS, and what you need to do to make sure you will be paid.

On-site attendance is limited.  Web attendance is available by special request only and is not recommended.  If you are current on your Support Agreement with DBC, we will make sure you have the current version of ASPC®, or we will order and provide you with a copy as part of the class so you can take advantage of what is taught in the class.

TRAINERS

The guest trainer for 2008 sessions is Ms. Kimberly Greene who has been a part-time consultant with CSC for many years and is an expert in Medical Billing.   She has used ASPC® for more than 15 years and currently provides billing services for a half-dozen different types of practices.

Raymond Latham, president of CSC, will conduct portions of the class and moderate the sessions.   He is an expert on office systems, designed ‘The Total Solution’ software that can move practices toward a paperless office, and has been a dealer for ASPC® since 1995.

We recommend each practice purchase the AS/PC® Training CD which allows you to review seminar contents and is yours to keep.  It costs $249 plus shipping and taxes.  New employees can use this to learn the system.  If you want to order it, circle this paragraph, fax it back, and we will send an order form.

Paperless Office Seminar Descriptions

Seminars are for clients that own, are considering, or are implementing The Paperless Office or CSC Appointment Scheduling system.   The Shelton, CT sessions are often scheduled from 6:00PM to 9:00PM EST so as to minimize the impact on working practices.   Web auditing/attendance is available starting at 6:30PM (EST).   Light dinner/refreshments are provided at 6:00PM.

These seminars will demonstrate the ‘Total Solution’ (the flow from scheduling, Paperless Office, to Billing) and practice controls as an overview.   New features, how to implement common functions easily, such as scanning, creating encounter note ‘check box’ screens, setting up evals, implementing redundant letters and forms will be demonstrated.    Each 2008 session will illustrate touch screens (for speed of note taking) and will discuss the Check-in Kiosk.   Seminar sessions provide introductory training and exposure to various topics and tools. The sessions will show how to use and implement, but will not dwell on questions or details at the level of the workshops.

The focus of the sessions will be on clinical functions such as note taking and encounter support.  For notes, prominent disciplines will be selected (appropriate for the mix of attendees) for each seminar as examples.   Attendees will be given a template CD as part of the seminar fee, and will be shown how to add them to your own screens.

New features that affect how to create and send billing information as a bi-product of generating the notes will be reviewed and demonstrated.

These seminars are fast-paced, and are intended for clinical personnel, doctors, and office managers.   If you own CSC software, you should attend this at least once per year!  Discounts are available for multiple people attending from the same practice.

SEMINAR - WEB Auditing/Attendance

These sessions can be viewed from your office for a small additional fee which covers the seminar software setup and testing.    Web attendees must have speakers on their computer or be prepared to dial a session phone number to hear the live audio feed.   Any number of people can watch at your site.  You cannot ask questions or interrupt the speaker during the session, but you can accumulate the questions and call in subsequently to have any questions answered.   Refunds are only issued if the seminar is cancelled or there is a technical problem with our seminar equipment and cannot be issued if you fail to attend or are not on-line at the seminar start.  If you are unable to join once the seminar starts, assistance will not be provided, so make sure you are on-line by the start of the seminar.
