DBC Third-Party Connections
There are many excellent software products available to the medical field. Some of these products have been around for years and are already in use at thousands of clinics. Why should these clinics lose the investment in time and money that they have in these third-party software systems?
The best software systems are created by companies who carve out a niche and then concentrate on designing a superior system to fill that niche. DBC's primary expertise is in accounting, billing, electronic transaction processing, and data base design. We are not experts in developing word processors, spread sheets, appointment schedulers, etc.; and although we could probably create acceptable products in these areas, it makes little sense to do so. For example, it would be very difficult to build a better appointments scheduler than some of those that already exist from vendors who have specialized in the design and creation of such software.
We have watched many of our competitors attempt to provide what they like to call a "single integrated system". Instead of working with the masses of excellent specialty software products available from other vendors, these competitors attempt to create their own appointment schedulers, word processors, etc. The end result is that their users end up with an overall inferior collection of software products. No one of us is an expert in everything! DBC believes in capitalizing on the expertise of many other software companies by making it easy for them to interconnect with our products.
NOTE: DBC does not recommend any third-party product over another. Our list simply indicates those vendors who we know have provided (or are in the process of creating) an interface to DBC's software that is consistent with our published specifications. DBC does not provide technical support for third-party software products. Users should contact the third-party vendor for assistance with their products.

The following companies have developed interfaces for DBC's software. These interfaces allow data to be paced back and forth between DBC's software and the vendor's systems using DBC's open architecture billing interfaces ASPCBill and AutoBill and patient interface AutoPat.
